PNP chief faces plunder raps anew

MANILA  - Philippine National Police chief Director General Alan Purisima is now facing a new set of plunder and graft charges before the Office of the Ombudsman regarding the construction of the so-called White House inside Camp Crame.

Members of Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC), led by Dante Jimenez, on Monday trooped to the Office of the Ombudsman to file the criminal charges against Purisima, also complaining over the police official’s alleged unexplained wealth.

Aside from plunder and graft charges, the. VACC also filed indirect bribery raps against Purisima who just arrived from an international trip.

Earlier, the Coalition of Filipino Consumers also filed the same charges against Purisima.

Purisima has yet to give an official statement on the matter.
